According to //Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam,// there are seventeen thousand verses in the //Kūrma Purāṇa,// which is one of the eighteen //Mahā-purāṇas.// The //Kūrma Purāṇa// is considered the fifteenth of these //Mahā-purāṇas.//
