dūra haite puruṣa kare māyāte avadhāna
jīva-rūpa vīrya tāte karena ādhāna
Synonyms
dūra haite—from a distance; purusa—the Supreme Personality of Godhead; kare—does; māyāte—unto the material energy; avadhāna—glancing over; jīva-rupa—the living entities; vīrya—seed; tate—in her; karena—does; adhana—impregnation. ¶
Translation
The first puruṣa casts His glance at māyā from a distance, and thus He impregnates her with the seed of life in the form of the living entities. ¶
