teṅho gele prabhura gaṇa haila haraṣita
śirera pāthara yena paḍila ācambita

Synonyms

teṅho gele—when he left; prabhura gana—the associates of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; haila haraṣita—became very, very happy; śirera—on the head; pāthara—a stone; yena—as if; padila—fell down; ācambita—suddenly. 

Translation

The devotees considered Rāmacandra Purī to be like a great burden on their heads. When he left Jagannātha Purī, everyone felt extremely happy, as if a great stone burden had suddenly fallen from their heads to the ground.
