kṛṣṇa yadi rukmiṇīre kailā parihāsa
‘kṛṣṇa chāḍibena’—jāni’ rukmiṇīra haila trāsa
Synonyms
krsna—Lord Kṛṣṇa; yadi—although; rukmiṇīre—unto Rukmiṇī, the first queen; kaila—did; parihasa—joking; krsna—Lord Kṛṣṇa; chāḍibena—will give me up; jani—thinking; rukmiṇīra—of Rukmiṇī; haila—there was; trāsa—shock. ¶
Translation
“Although Kṛṣṇa was joking with Queen Rukmiṇī, she was thinking that He was going to give up her company, and she was therefore shocked. ¶
