prabhura nṛtya-śloka śuni’ śrī-rūpa-gosāñi
sei ślokārtha lañā śloka karilā tathāi
Synonyms
prabhura—of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; nṛtya-śloka—verse uttered during His dancing; suni—hearing; sri-rupa-gosāñi—Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī; sei śloka-artha—the meaning of that verse; lañā—taking; śloka karila—composed another verse; tathāi—on the spot. ¶
Translation
When Rūpa Gosvāmī heard a verse uttered by Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu during the ceremony, he immediately composed another verse dealing with the same subject. ¶
