tabe sei yavana kahe,—“śuna, mahāśaya
tomāre chāḍiba, kintu kari rāja-bhaya”

Synonyms

tabe—thereafter; sei—that; yavana—meat-eater; kahe—says; suna—just hear; mahāśaya—my dear sir; tomāre—you; chadiba—I would release; kintu—but; kari raja-bhaya—I am afraid of the government. 

Translation

In this way Sanātana Gosvāmī convinced the jailkeeper, who replied, “Please hear me, my dear sir. I am willing to release you, but I am afraid of the government.”
