bhakti vinā kevala jñāne ‘mukti’ nāhi haya
bhakti sādhana kare yei ‘prāpta-brahma-laya’
Synonyms
bhakti—devotional service; vina—without; Kevala—only; jñāne—by philosophical speculation; mukti—liberation; nahi haya—there is not; bhakti—devotional service; sādhana—practice; kare—does; yei—anyone who; prapta-brahma-laya—as good as merging into the impersonal Brahman. ¶
Translation
“One cannot attain liberation simply through philosophical speculation devoid of devotional service. However, if one renders devotional service, he is automatically on the Brahman platform. ¶
