eka-dina anna āne daśa-biśa jane
dine tata laya, yata khāya dui jane
Synonyms
eka-dina—in one day; anna—food; āne—brought; dasa-biśa jane—enough for ten to twenty men; dine—in a day; tata laya—would accept only as much; yata—as; khaya dui jane—the two of them required to eat. ¶
Translation
“In one day enough food was brought for ten or twenty people, but the hunter and his wife would accept only as much as they could eat. ¶
